Kaduna South is a Local Government Area in Kaduna State, Nigeria. Its headquarters in the town of Makera. Other wards are Barnawa, Tudun wada,Television, Kakuri, Unguwar Muazu, Kabala, Sabon Gari, Badikko, Unguwar Sanusi and Kurmin Mashi.
It has an area of 59 km² and a population of 402,390 at the 2006 census.
The area has a mixed population, but the dominant ethnic groups are the Hausa, Gbagyi, Bajju, Ham, Atyap, Igbo and Yoruba. The major religions are Islam and Christianity. The State has 23 local government. Kaduna state is located in the North-west geopolitical zone of Nigeria. And it also being one of the Zazzau Emirate district,
